Reese School District Students Enjoying Recent Improvements

There was a flurry of activity to get done before the academic year started in the Reese Public School District.
The bandroom was completely renovated and the electrical system was upgraded as well, and the district worked with Forsite Design to have the track resurfaced.
Both of those projects were proposed during the strategic planning process of projects that district residents wanted to have done.
According to Superintendent Jordan Ackerman, the district is thankful to be able to utilize the voter approved Sinking Fund to make those improvements.
In his report to the board, Ackerman noted at the start of the school year there were 780 students enrolled, which is an increase of 39 students from the last count of 741 students.
During the meeting, allowing students to participate in some special events was also approved.
The board approved the fourth-grade students going to the Hartley Outdoor Education Center, a Washington D. C. Trip for eighth-grade students, going to two robotic competitions, and the Future Farmers of America (FFA) going to the state finals.
