John Joseph Reed Sentenced To Probation In District Court

John Joseph Reed appeared before Judge Ferris in Huron County District Court today for sentencing.
Defense attorney Michael Murawski stated that Reed's actions stemmed from alcohol consumption, noting that Reed has remained compliant with bond conditions.
Judge Ferris sentenced Reed to 18 months of probation under the supervision of a probation officer.
Reed must serve 10 days in jail, with credit for one day served. He is ordered to report to jail on September 19th at 8 a.m., with the remaining nine days to be served on consecutive weekends.
The court imposed strict conditions, including a ban on alcohol and controlled substances, a prohibition on entering establishments that serve alcohol, and a requirement to attend weekly 12-step or Peer 360 meetings. Reed must also complete outpatient counseling by October 16th and submit to random drug and alcohol screenings at his own expense.
Financial obligations total $945, covering fines, costs, and supervision fees.
