Veteran Firefighter Honored For 32 Years of Service

A veteran fireman was honored for his years of service by the Imlay City Commission.

Craig Ross is retiring from the Imlay City Fire Department after 32 years.

For his years of dedicated service, the commission honored him with a proclamation of appreciation.

Commissioner Bob Tanis presented a proclamation from the council to Ross.

He rose through the ranks. Ross became a lieutenant, and he was promoted to assistant chief in 2000, and in 2001 promoted to fire chief.

Also over the years, Ross received the Lapeer County Fireman of the Year in 2014 and he was awarded it again in 2023.
