Road Rage Incident In Imlay City Thursday Afternoon

A Sanilac County man has been apprehended following a road-rage incident involving gunfire in Imlay City.

Imlay City Police say the incident happened during the early morning hours Thursday along Van Dyke, or M-53.

Investigators say shots were fired during the incident, but no injuries were reported.

Police spent much of the day investigating before announcing that a male from Peck had been apprehended. Authorities have not released the man's name or provided details about what led up to the confrontation.

Police also addressed concerns about nearby students, saying the incident occurred early enough that students were not in danger.

No information has been released yet on possible charges, and the investigation remains ongoing.
