Hume Township to Review Assessment Levy for Trash Collection

The Hume Township Board of Trustees approved a five-year contract for trash collection service.

The board approved going with Emterra Environmental as the township's garbage collection company.

They inked a five-year contract with Emterra Environmental for garbage collection service in the township for the next five years.

With that done, the board approved a special meeting at 7 p.m., on Sept. 21 at the township hall at 1918 Oak Beach Road.

The special meeting is regarding the garbage roll for 2027 and to review additions and deletions that might be needed.

Also, the garbage assessment for the next fiscal year is expected to be reviewed and approved during the Sept. 21 meeting.
