Millington Village President Back in Jail for Probation Violation

The controversial Millington Village president Andrew Selich is back behind bars again.
This time his legal infraction is a probation violation.
Selich was convicted of a third drunk driving offense earlier this year.
He was sentenced to 30 days in the Tuscola County Jail back then.
During his incarceration, there were calls by some fellow council members and residents who wanted Selich out of office.
Under election laws a newly elected government official cannot be recalled during the first few months of a term, and council members do not have the authority to oust him.
After he serve his jail sentence, he is expected to return to attending village meetings.
However, since then Selich has allegedly tested positive for alcohol use, which is a violation of his probation regulations.
He was accused of testing positive for alcohol while out on probation.
Tuscola County Circuit Judge Amy Grace Gierhart sentenced him to 60 days with credit for 32 days served.
Selich is expected to be released from jail on Sept. 25, and he is expected to return to his duties as village president.
