Elba Reviewing Compliance With The American Rescue Plan Act

The Elba Township Board of Trustees received notification of non-compliance with the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) that was authorized by the American Rescue Plan Act, (ARPA) that delivered $350 billion to municipalities to help offset the financial impact of COVID.

During the meeting, it was noted the board thought the previous clerk had closed this out,

but the communication says the township still needs to show a record of how the funds were used.

The board decided to reach out to the township's legal counsel to review the issue and to see if she has any information on the matter.

By statute, municipalities must continue submitting reports for ARPA's SLFRF through 2027.
