Fatal Accident Reported in St Clair County

At about 11:42 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, St. Clair County Central Dispatch received reports of a vehicle crash.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found a single vehicle had left the right-hand side of eastbound I-94 between Wadhams Road and Gratiot Road in Kimball Township.
Also, at or near the same time, an i-Phone crash alert was received in the same area.
Deputies along with the Kimball Township Fire Department and Tri-Hospital EMS responded to the scene.
The vehicle was on the East side ditch with apparent rollover damage.
First responders found a single occupant of the vehicle was found partially ejected and trapped underneath the vehicle. The single occupant, a 26-year-old Port Huron male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other vehicles are believed to be involved at this time.
The incident is being investigated by the St. Clair County Crash Investigation Team.
According to the preliminary investigation, speed and alcohol are believed to be a factor.
