Heath Stein Sentenced In Circuit Court For Probation Violation

A Huron County man is facing jail time after admitting to a probation violation. Heath Dale Stein appeared before Judge Prill regarding a non-technical violation of his probation terms. Stein admitted to consuming alcohol on June 23rd, 2026.
The underlying offense for his probation was a third-offense drinking and driving charge.
Defense attorney Dallas L. Rooney told the court that Stein had maintained nearly two years of sobriety and graduated from Sobriety Court this past April.
Rooney also noted that Stein suffers from lupus, which requires consistent medication.
The court sentenced Stein to three days in the county jail, allowing him to serve the time on a weekend.
Additionally, Stein must complete 90 days of SCRAM monitoring and continue his court-ordered treatment and probation conditions.
