Tommy Joe Britt Sentenced To A Year In Jail

Tommy Joe Britt, 71, was sentenced to 365 days in county jail for indecent exposure by a sexually delinquent person.

Following his no-contest plea in July, the judge emphasized that despite Britt's lack of prior felonies and his employment history, his actions violated societal norms and required a sentence that serves as a deterrent.

The court ordered no credit for time served and confirmed Britt is already registered under the Sex Offender Registration Act.

The judge stated there is no objection to work release, if he is eligible.
