Two Vehicle Collision Reported In Sheridan Township

HURON COUNTY - No injuries were reported following a collision involving farm equipment and a tow truck Friday afternoon in Sheridan Township.
According to a Michigan Traffic Crash Report, the crash happened September 18 at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Ivanhoe Road, about 528 feet south of McTaggart Road.
Investigators say a 2022 Case 8250 combine was traveling north on Ivanhoe Road while a 2017 Freightliner M2 tow truck was headed south. The tow truck stopped and pulled toward the shoulder to allow the large farm machine to pass.
The report states that as the combine went by, its header struck the driver's-side roof area of the tow truck. The combine operator told investigators he had attempted to pass but accidentally made contact.
Both drivers were reported uninjured, and neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected. The crash occurred during daylight on a mud, dirt and gravel roadway with a posted 55-mile-per-hour speed limit.
