Irving Velasco Mejia Arrested For Drunk Driving

Irvin Velasco Mejia appeared before Judge Ferris today to face a misdemeanor charge of operating while intoxicated, stemming from an incident alleged to have occurred on September 19th, 2026.
During the arraignment, Mejia entered a plea of not guilty. Attorney Dallas Rooney represented him for the hearing, while Kyle O'Mara has been appointed as counsel for the remainder of the case.
The court has set an October 12th, 2026, deadline for the prosecution to submit a plea offer. A mandatory in-person plea cutoff hearing is scheduled for October 23rd, 2026.
Mejia remains free on a $3,500 bond, with 10% already posted. His release is subject to strict conditions: he is prohibited from possessing or consuming alcohol or controlled substances, including marijuana. Additionally, he is barred from entering any establishment that serves alcohol or attending any gathering where alcohol or controlled substances are present.
