Deckerville Board of Education Reorganizes

During the last meeting of the Deckerville School District's Board of Education meeting, the board conducted a reorganizational meeting.
The board selected Curt Vogel as board president, Richard Hammil as vice president, Randee Kirkpatrick as secretary, and James Nichol as treasruer.
With that done, committee appointments were made.
Serving on the operations committee will be Richard Hamill, Curt Vogel, and James Nichol.
Serving on the personnel committee will be Kendra Messing, Kyle O'Mara, Trish VanNorman.
Serving on the finance committee will be Randee Kirkpatrick, Kendra Messing, and James Nichol.
Appointments were made for representatives.
Serving as the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) liaison was Curt Vogel. Serving on the Sanilac County School Board Association will be Richard Hamill, and serving on the Intermediate School District budget and elections will be Kendra Messing.
In other board of education matters, each board member receiving a certificate of appreciation.
In other matters, the board approved exploring the option of possibility going for a bond issue.
Also, the board approved hiring Peggy Ross as a part-time cook's helper, and approval was given for Tim Ross to be a bus driver.
