Sanilac County's Watertown Township's proposed recalls are being challenged in court.
Treasurer Sheila Coats has filed an appeal on the charges listed as the reason she should be recalled.
Her appeal will be reviewed by Circuit Court Judge Timothy Wrathell at 1:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
Also, Clerk Tammy Ross and Trustee Jason Radloff are each facing potential recall.
Supervisor Richard Henderson was also targeted for potential recall, but he resigned.
The wording on each of the petitions list they should be recalled for failure to perform the duties of their office.
Ross and Radloff have each filed a petition in circuit court challenging the recall allegations.
A court date has not yet been set for either of them.
Trustee Jim Hacker is the only member who has not had a recall filed against him.
During the July 28 board of trustees meeting, board members encouraged those in the audience to run for office because the board could be devastated if voters approve the recall for each board member.
The next township meeting is at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 1.
