Voters Approved Millages for Two Sanilac County Villages

Two villages in Sanilac County had issues on the Tuesday, Aug. 4 ballot.

The village of Deckerville's request to renew the 2 mills for four years to fund law enforcement protection services passed with 74 yes votes to 39 no votes.

The millage will generate about $28,100 the first year.

The village of Minden City's request for 2 mills for four years to fund village operations was approved with 39 yes votes to 16 no votes.

The millage will generate about $7,122 the first year.
