Several Townships in Sanilac County Had Funding Issues on Ballot

There were a variety of issues on the ballots of townships in Sanilac County, and nearly all of them passed.
Austin Township's request to renew 2.5 mills for four years for roads passed with 96 yes votes to 21 no votes.
The millage will generate about $89,119 the first year.
The request for 1.5 mills for four years to do graveling on various roads was approved with 90 yes votes to 27 no votes.
The millage will generate about $53,472 the first year.
Bridgehampton Township's request to renew .9987 of a mill for four years for road work passed with 93 votes yes to 57 no votes.
The millage will generate about $38,000 the first year.
The request for 1 mill for five years for roads passed with 77 yes votes to 73 no votes.
The millage will generate about $38,000 the first year.
Buel Township's request to renew 1 mill for four years for roads was approved with 207 yes votes to 81 no votes.
The millage will generate about $52,620 the first year.
Delaware Township's request to renew 1 mill for four years for fire protection services was approved with 216 yes votes to 26 no votes.
The millage will generate about $103,697 the first year.
The other ballot issue for the renewal of 2 mills for four years to fund the maintenance of roads was approved with 196 yes votes to 45 no votes,
The millage will generate about $207,394 the first year.
Elk Township's request to increase the previous millage to 2.50 mills for 6 years for fire protection services and to purchase a new fire truck was approved with 255 yes votes to 124 no votes.
The millage will generate about $135,000 the first year.
Forester Township's renewal request for 1 mill for six years to fund township operations passed with 224 yes votes to 67 no votes.
The millage will generate about $118,286 the first year.
The other request for renewal .6 of a mill for six years to fund fire protection services received 258 yes votes to 34 no votes.
The millage will generate about $70,971 the first year.
Lamotte Township's request for 1.5 mills for four years for road maintenance was approved with 146 yes votes to 63 no votes.
The millage will generate about $65,835 for four years.
Maple Valley Township's request to renew 1.5 mills for four years received 145 yes votes to 51 no votes to pass.
The millage will generate about $68,331 the first year.
Minden Township's request to increase the millage for general operations and fire protection of 1.5 mills for four years was approved with 120 yes votes to 51 no votes.
The millage will generate about $91,500 the first year.
The request to renew 2 mills for four years for roads received 109 yes votes to 62 no votes.
The millage will generate about $122,000 the first year.
Speaker Township's request for a fire millage was approved with 218 yes votes to 73 no votes.
Washington Township's request for a cemetery millage passed with 245 yes votes to 115 no votes.
Worth Township's request to renew of up to 1 mill for four years for roads was approved with 667 yes votes to 348 no votes.
The millage will generate about $250,519 the first year.
Brown City's request to renew the millage to fund park operations was approved with 155 yes votes to 64 no votes.
Voters in Marlette City approved prohibiting Marijuana businesses in the city with 342 no votes to 207 yes votes.
The millage request to fund Marlette's park and recreation received 327 yes votes to 212 no votes.
Election results are unofficial until they are verified by the board of canvassers.
