Bryan McWherter Arraigned On Charges Of Assault And Aggrivated Stalking

Bryan McWherter, of Elkton, was arraigned on November 17 on charges of assault and aggravated stalking in Huron County Circuit Court. McWherter entered a no contest plea as part of a plea agreement, which will result in the prosecutor dropping the charge of domestic violence habitual third offense. As a condition of the agreement, McWherter will be required to pay full restitution to the victim. Sentencing is scheduled for January 26 at 9:00 a.m..
Court records indicate McWherter has prior legal history in the region, including past offenses involving weapons violations and an incident where he was fined for driving without a valid license. McWherter's legal proceedings will continue in the Huron County court system as his sentencing date approaches.
