Funeral Information

Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at St. Felix Catholic Church, Pinnebog, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the Mass at 11:00.

Family of the Deceased

He is survived by his wife: Shirley Walsh of Port Austin; his daughter, Nicole (Shawn) Drwencke of Chesterfield, Michigan; his granddaughter, the joy of his life, Sydney; and his sister, Mary (Robert) Rich of Livonia, Michigan. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law: Marie Walsh, Tuscon, AZ; Beverly Walsh, Pigeon, and Rosalia Walsh of Bay City; his brothers –in-law; Ronald (Rita) LaDouceur of Commerce Twp., and Robert LaDouceur of Livonia, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Allen, Donald, Joseph, and George, and one sister, Rita Mahon.

Biography

John Richard Walsh, 81, of Port Austin, died December 12, 2012 at St. Marys in Saginaw. He was born on September 5, 1931 in Bad Axe, son of the late Bernard and Marie (Bushey) Walsh. He and Shirley (LaDouceur) Walsh were married on August 18, 1962 in St. Felix Catholic Church, by Father Joseph Schabel. He was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church. He was lifetime area farmer. The Walsh family farm was in his family for over 150 years.
