Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 17, 2012 at the Owendale United Methodist Church with Rev. Cindy Parsons officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at MacAlpine Funeral Home, Bad Axe. Burial will follow at Grant Township Cemetery. Leslie is survived by his special friend, Judy Thompson; nine children, Liz (Denny) Robinson, Tina Andrews, Jay Andrews, Rebecca (Mike) Dahlke, Roena (Brian) Boyce, Regina (Mike) Seltz, Paul (Racheal) Andrews, Paula (Jim) Zoll and Kevin Smith; sixteen grandchildren, Jessica, Tim, Kayla, Lorenzo, Becky, Santana, Bridgett, Lauren, Michaela, Brett, Braxton, Keely, Melanie, Paige, Tristan and Katie; four great- grandchildren, Kaoty, Kobain, Kelson and Ethan; one brother, Larry (Sharon) Andrews and lots of family and friends.

Biography

Leslie Jay Andrews, 68, resident of Bad Axe, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Huron Medical Center after an apparent heart attack. He was born February 24, 1944 in Cass City to the late Ervin and Edith (Parker) Andrews. Leslie and Pauline Smith were united in marriage on October 29, 1976 at the Bad Axe First Baptist Church. Pauline went home to be with her Lord on March 24, 1999. He graduated from Owendale High School. Leslie retired from Towers Automotive in Elkton after 33 years of employment. He attended the Owendale United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors and wood crafting.
