Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday,, December 18, at the Community Wesleyan Church, Elkton. Rev. William O’nan, pastor will officiate with burial in Grandlawn Cemetery, Pigeon. Friends may call from 2 to 8 PM Monday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton and at the church after 10 AM T Tuesday. Surviving are her husband, Howard; her children, Eddie (Lisa) Karl of Caseville, Bregetta (Greg) Witter of Chandler, IN, Bobby (Shelly) Karl of Unionville and Joe Karl of Roseville; her daughter in law, Rena Karl; grandchildren, Kimberly, Benjamin (Mandy), Glenn (Ashley), John (Kari), Andrew (Bethany), Bobby Jr. (Azurah), Vera, Haley (Eric), Lynn (Chris), Ammie and Duncan; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, William (Elsie) Smith of Franklin, GA and Tallmadge Smith of Fairburn, GA and her sister, Rosa Soles. Preceding her in death were two sons, Bobby G. and Everett Karl; two brothers, Leonard and Dewey Smith and two sisters, Alfie Langley and Wilmer Dryer.
Allie O. Karl, age 75, of Pigeon died Friday morning, December 14 at her home with her family by her side. She was born February 25, 1937 in Roopville, GA to the late Vaughn and Nora (Knott) Smith. On September 20, 1958, she was united in marriage to Howard J. Karl in Newnan, GA. Howard was in the Army, so they traveled around the world with their family for 20 years. While living in Newnan GA in 1977, she helped found the Senior Citizen Center. In 1978, they moved to Michigan, settling in Pigeon. Allie was an active member of the Community Wesleyan Church, Elkton, and a former Cub Scout leader. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, cooking and, visiting and spending time with friends and especially family.
