She is survived by six children, Leonard (Saundra) Stacer of Beaverton, James (Delores) Stacer of Harbor Beach, Arlene (George) Booms of Minden City, Kenneth (Lois) Stacer of Melbourne, FL, Sandra (John) Fligger of Filion and Raymond (Betty) Stacer of Hope, MI; 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; one sister in-law, Magdalene Stacer of Ruth. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Emma Vorndam, Helen Gruber and Marie Schroeder; three brothers, Leo, Roman and Cyril Guitar.

Family of the Deceased

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe with Fr. Robert Howe officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel, Bad Axe and 10 a.m. on Thursday until time of service at the church. Biography

Cecilia Stacer, age 97, resident of Bad Axe, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born July 1, 1916 in Sherman Township to the late Joseph and Mary (Hitch) Guitar. Cecilia was united in marriage to Robert Stacer on November 28, 1933 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ruth, MI. He preceded her in death on February 3, 1993. She raised her family and farmed with her husband until retiring and moving to Bad Axe in 1978. They spent the next 20 winters in Bradenton, FL. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bad Axe. She was a great cook and loved taking care of her lawn and flowers. She enjoyed dancing the Oberek, square dancing and playing cards.
