Funeral Information

Services will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11am at the Bad Axe First United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Phil Tousley, pastor. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Elkton.

Surviving are his wife; Johanna Farver of Filion. 1 son, Roger (Victoria) Farver of Midland. 2 daughters, Bonnie (Scott) Sweeney of Minden City & Nickie (Brian) Smith of Filion. 1 sister, Cleo VanCise of Bad Axe. 5 grandchildren, Justin Sweeney of Minden City, Dakota Smith of Filion, Tavis Farver of Midland, Madison Smith of Filion and Seth Sweeney of Minden City. Predeceased by 9 bothers & sisters.

Biography

Dale F. Farver, age 78 of Filion, passed away on Monday, October 7,2013 at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe. He was born on October 12, 1934 in ELkton, the son of the late Earl & Gertrude (Perry) Farver. He married Johaznna Schoen on September 12, 1964 in Our Savior Lutheran Church of Bad Axe. Dale retired from former Carmet Corporation in Bad Axe. He enjoyed woodworking and deer hunting and Pheasant hunting with his son and grandsons, and bear hunting in the U.P. He also enjoyed spending time at his cabin in East Tawas with his family, which he built along with family and friends.
