Funeral Services for Marilyn will be Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Harbor Beach, with Rev. Hays Wiltshire officiating. Burial will follow in the White Rock Cemetery. Visitation for Marilyn will be Sunday, from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. She is survived by her daughters Carrie Ellen Boyd and her husband Vance, and Dawn Celia Maltese and her husband Dominic, brother Patrick McCollough, 5 grandchildren:Patrick Boyd, Joel Boyd, Andrew Maltese, Christopher Maltese and Kathryn “Katie” Maltese, and 4 great grandchildren: Hunter, Logan and Gavin Maltese and Eve Boyd. She was preceded in death by her husband Keith, oldest daughter Carol Ann, and her brother Clarence J. McCollough.
MARILYN JOYCE EDWARDS, age 83 of Harbor Beach, passed away, surrounded by her family on Friday, December 06, 2013 at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital,. She was born to the late Clarence Lindsay McCollough and Lucille (Hanna) McCollough on February 15, 1930 in her parents home in Dearborn. Marilyn was a resident of White Rock, south of Harbor Beach, and divided her time between Huron County and Wayne County. She and her family referred to Dearborn as “Down Home”, and Harbor Beach as “Up Home.” Marilyn lived life to the fullest. She loved politics, as she had a mother and brother in the State Legislature, and was active in many campaigns. She was a bookkeeper and office manager for various professional offices and retail stores. Marilyn was an active member of the White Rock one room School House Museum, and served as an elder for the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, hunting, fishing, and decorating for Christmas. It can be said that she participated fully in the life of her communities, family and nation.
