Funeral mass for Agnes will be Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 11 am at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. William Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation for Agnes will be Tuesday, from 2-9pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach, MI. Visitation on Wednesday will be at the church beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. A Parish Vigil Service will take place Tuesday at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
She is survived by her children: Regina Wruble and her husband Bob of Harbor Beach,MI; Bill Essenmacher and his wife MJ of Tucson, AZ, Maggie Roggenbuck and her husband Duane of Snover, Tom Essenmacher and his wife Janine of Essexville,MI Dr. Carol Essenmacher of Battle Creek,MI; Lorene Wessels and her husband Scott of Harbor Beach, and Mark Essenmacher and his wife Cathy of Howard, OH. 22 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, her sister: Dorothy Elandt, daughter-in-law Millie Bowers of Flint, MI; Sisters-in-law Eleanor Geiger, Verna Wood, Catherine Essenmacher, and Janice Erdman, and Brother-in-law David Krueger. Agnes was preceded in death by 3 children: Brenda J. Essenmacher, Agnes M. Essenmacher, and Clem Essenmacher, son-in-law Jim McQueen, She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Thomas & Delores Abraham, Barney & Dorothy Abraham, John & Marjorie Abraham, Ray Abraham, Cass & Sally Abraham, and her step brothers and sisters: Joe Hoin, Frank Hoin, Mathilda Hoin, Magdaline Hoin and niece Bobetta Hoin. Brothers-in-law Henry Elandt, David Essenmacher, Howard Essenmacher, Don Essenmacher, Burton Wood and Bernard Geiger, and sister-in-law Edna Krueger.
AGNES M. ESSENMACHER, age 89 of Harbor Beach, MI, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Community Hospital. She was born on April 28, 1925 in Bad Axe, MI to the late John and Mary (Kucharczyk) Abraham. Agnes and Arthur Essenmacher were united in marriage on November 17, 1945 in Parisville. He preceded her in death on September 28, 2003. Agnes was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, the OLLH Altar Society, the Daughters of Isabella, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Agnes was the Schulte School Secretary and then a school cook at the OLLH School for over 20 years. She enjoyed watching high school sports, the Detroit Tigers, playing cards, quilting, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
