Funeral Information

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Friday, October 10th at MacAlpine Funeral Gage Chapel in Kinde with Nancy Bitterling officiating. Burial will be held at New River Cemetery in Port Austin. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. Thursday, October 9th at MacAlpine Funeral Gage Chapel in Kinde and from 10 A.M. till time of service Friday. Family of the Deceased

Sharon is survived by her husband, Chet of 45 years; daughter Shamrock O’Cull of Kentucky; mother Bernice Bean of Port Austin; brother Albert “Chum” Hewitt of Caseville; sister Linda (Harvey) Davis of West Virginia; daughter in law Alicia Hale O’Cull and grandchildren Meredith and Carter O’Cull of Springfield, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Al Hewitt; son Brian O’Cull; step-father Don Bean and brothers Dennis and Robert Hewitt.

Biography

Sharon Ann O’Cull, 64, of Port Austin, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 8, 2014. Sharon was born in Port Austin on December 7, 1949 to Bernice (Yaroch) and the late Al Hewitt. On July 11, 1969, Sharon was united in marriage to Chester O’Cull at the Faith Assembly of God Church in Bad Axe. Sharon attended the United Protestant Church in Port Austin and was a member of the Thumb Two Cylinder Tractor Club. She loved to play Bingo, spending time at the U of I Club in Port Austin, going to blue grass music festivals and working in her flower garden.
