Funeral Information

A memorial service for Karen will take place Sunday at 3 pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. A gathering of friends will take place from 2pm until time of services at 3pm. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com

Family of the Deceased

Karen is survived by her children: Tammi Runyon of Warren, Kelli Copeland of Harbor Beach, Daniel Copeland of Harbor Beach and Kandi Kivel of Bad Axe, 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry Kivel and sister Sharon O’Henley.

Biography

She was born on July 2, 1945 in Cass City to the late Orville and Ruby (Dickinson) Kivel. Karen worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide for Many years at the Harbor Beach Community Hospital. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and yard work, always keeping up with the flowers. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Karen was a member of the Community of Christ Church.
