Funeral Information

Funeral mass for Bob will be Monday, October 13, 2014 at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, at 11 am, with Fr. William Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Church Cemetery. Visitation for Bob will Sunday from 1-9pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation for Bob on Monday will be at the funeral home from 10 am until 10:30 am. A Knights of Columbus Rosary Service will take place Sunday at 7pm followed by a Parish Vigil Service. Family of the Deceased

He is survived by his wife Arlene Emming of Harbor Beach, and Children: Mary Cook and her husband Gary of Ruth, Joann Talaski and her husband Russ of Harbor Beach, David Emming of Harbor Beach, Dean Emming and his wife Carrie of Minden City, and Dale Emming and his wife Jenny of Harbor Beach. 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his brothers: Leo and Donna Emming of Ruth, Leonard and Linda Emming of Harbor Beach, Marvin and Regina Emming of Ruth and sisters: Shirley and Leo Holdwick of Ruth, Mary Lou and Damon Wolczak of Ohio, Judy Emming of Tennessee, marlene and Gary Geiger of Harbor Beach, and Susan and Terry aren of Romulus. Sisters-in-law Rose Ann Emming of Ruth, and Pat Emming of Harbor Beach, and brother-in-law Lawrence Kranz of Harbor Beach, and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his brothers Melvin Emming, Joe Emming and Raymond Emming, and sister Delores Kranz.

Biography

He was born on July 6, 1935 in Ruth to the late Bernard and Alma (Tenbusch) Emming. He and Arlene Holdwick were united in marriage on June 1, 1957 in St. Anthony’s Church in Helena. Bob owned and operated a trucking company for many years. Bob was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church of the Holy Name of Mary Parish and the Knights of Columbus. Bob enjoyed playing softball and being manager of the Fosters Bar Softball Team. Bob thoroughly enjoyed playing euchre, gambling at the casinos, and making the famous Bob Emming Sausage. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
