Cremation will follow, and burial will take place at Caseville Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Music Program or the Caseville Library Club. Carole dearly loved her family. She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Anderson of Caseville; children, Paul B. (Kathy) Anderson of Roanoke, Texas, David W. (Gretchen) Anderson of Parker, Colorado, Cheryl R. (Thomas) Cullen of Anchorage, Alaska, and Nancy C. (Scott) Smith of Pigeon; grandchildren: Jason (Emily) Smith, Sara Smith, Michelle (Andrew) Schneider, Michael Anderson, and Kathryn Smith; and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Shearrow.
Carole M. Anderson, 84 of Caseville, passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at Courtney Manor in Bad Axe. She was born in Akron, Michigan on March 6, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Harry E. and Cora G. (Louks) Rohlfs. On December 23, 1952 she was united in marriage to William J. Anderson in Caro. Carole received her Bachelor of Music Education degree in 1952 from Alma College, where she was also a Homecoming Queen. She was a piano teacher for many years. She taught music with Caseville Public School in 1975 and Bad Axe Public Schools 1976-1989. She worked for Real Estate One in Caseville through the 1990’s. Carole enjoyed traveling with Bill and wintering in Arizona. She was a member of the Caseville Library Club for many years, and she conducted the Caseville Community Cantata for many years as well. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pigeon.
