A funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 21, at St. Roch Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Robert Pare’ pastor will officiate with interment in the church cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville from 3 to 8 PM Monday and at the church after 10 AM Tuesday. Family of the Deceased

Surviving are his wife, Clara; two sons, Lewis (Rhonda) Judge of Greenville, WI and Denis (Stacy) Judge of Oxford, MI; three grandchildren, Brittney, Kevin and Sydney; his brother, John (Maryann) Judge of Gross Pointe Woods, MI and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Carmody.

Biography

Denis J. Judge age 79 of Caseville passed away Saturday afternoon, July 18th, at the Huron County Medical Care Facility, Bad Axe. He was born July 3, 1936 in Detroit at the home of his parents, the late John and Elizabeth (Kiernan) Judge. Denis graduated from Salesian Catholic High School, Detroit in 1954 and served in the Army National Guard, 8 Mile Armory for 9 years. On October 1, 1966, he was united in marriage to Clara King at Holy Name Catholic Church, Detroit. Denis worked as a mechanic at several car dealerships in the Detroit area before taking a position with the City of Birmingham DPW, retiring in 1994 with 20 years of service. At that time they moved to Caseville, where they had vacationed many years prior. While here he operated a small landscape business on a part time basis and was sexton of the Caseville Twp. Cemetery for 10 years. He was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and served as treasurer of Caseville Eagles for many years.
