Funeral Information

Funeral services for Vera Sosnoski will be 11:00 Tuesday at St. Columbkille Church of The Good Shepherd Parish. Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 at the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 to 11:00. Burial will be in the St. Columbkille Cemetery.

Vera is survived by her son, Donald McIntyre of Bad Axe and her grandchildren; Colleen (Richard) Devine of Mt Pleasant, Fred (Holly) McIntyre of Bad Axe, Neil (Debra) McIntyre of Maryland, Brad (Jenny) McIntyre of Florida, Kathleen McIntyre of Royal Oak, Kerrie (Darren) Lubeski, of Ubly, Kurt (Kelly) McIntyre of Owendale; and her great grandchildren, Bryce, Drew, Paige, Reese, Payton, Rachel, Connor, Alexis, McKenzie, Chase, Alex, Leah, Shayler, Brynlee. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Kenneth (Kate) Sosnoski, Audrey (Jerry) Lawrence, Joann (Dennis) Wrubel; her step daughter’s husband, Steve Sump; her step grandchildren, Ed, David, Kenneth, (Ellen) Brian (Dana), and Fred Sosnoski, Kim Farver, Kari (Justin) Schweigert, John (Leona) Fox, Jennifer Fox; her step great grandchildren, Joey, EJ, Davey, Jordan, Kendra, Kenton, Jarrett, Connor, Ryan, Gavin, Amber, Travis, Jacob, Katelyn, Allison, Rebekah, Makaylah, Alyssah, Shalyn, Andrew, and Nathan.

Biography

Vera Alda Sosnoski, 97 of Bad Axe, died Thursday, July 23, 2015. Vera was born on July 10, 1918 in South Dakota, the daughter of Edmond B. Gray and Maggie M. Frothinger Gray. Vera and Neil L. McIntyre were married on July 14, 1934 in Rapid City, South Dakota. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1965. She married Edwin Sosnoski on August 19, 1967 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dwight. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1998.
