Funeral Services for Norman will be Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11 am at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Burial will follow at the OLLH Church Cemetery. Visitation for Norman will be on Wednesday at the funeral home beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am.

He is survived by his son Don Susalla and his wife Arlene of Shelby Township, daughter Diana Booms and her husband Tom of Port Hope, 6 grandchildren: Tom (Jean) Booms, Tim (Roxanne) Booms, Lori Brown, Michael (Shawna) Susalla, Michelle Susalla, Mark (Alyson) Susalla, 8 great grandchildren: Kyle, Trevor & Tyler Booms, Caitlyn & Keegan Booms, Paige and Hailey Susalla, and Hunter Susalla, and his siblings: Arvin Susalla and his wife Allene of Melbourne, FL, Alice Kosal of Warren, Beatrice Kranz and her husband Ray of St. Clair Shores. Norman was preceded by a great granddaughter: Jessica Susalla, and siblings: Joe Susalla, Lillian Puvalowski, Sylvia Lindsey, Marie Dean, JoAnne Fisher, Wilfred Susalla, Diane Susalla and Archie Susalla.

Biography

NORMAN R. SUSALLA, age 96 of Harbor Beach, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Courtney Manor Nursing Center of Bad Axe. He was born on June 25, 1919 in Parisville to the late Robert and Anna (Moy) Susalla. Norman and Marion Oberski were united in marriage on November 18, 1939 in Ruth, she preceded him in death on September 1, 2012. Norman was a retired employee of Hercules, Inc. retiring in 1983 with over 40 years of service. Norman served in the US Army during World War II. Norman was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, and the Harbor Beach VFW Post. He enjoyed engines and antique shows, and attending flea markets.
