Funeral Information

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service for Tom will be Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11 am at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. William Spencer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. A gathering of friends for Tom will be at the church beginning at 9:30 am until time of services at 11 am. Arrangements are being handled by the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Memorials may be given to the Family Discretionary Fund. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com

Tom is survived by his wife Nancy Goniwiecha of Harbor Beach, and sons: Dan Goniwiecha of Grand Rapids, Randy Goniwiecha and his wife Katie of Hudsonville, Scott Goniwiecha and his wife Aimee of St. Joseph, 3 grandchildren: Nathan, Mya, and Zoey, his brother Michael Goniwiecha of Bad Axe, and sisters: Ann Depcinski and her husband Albert of Cass City, and Patti O’Neil of Harbor Beach.

Biography

THOMAS R. GONIWIECHA, age 68 of Harbor Beach, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Henry Ford Medical Center in Detroit. Tom was born on August 29, 1947 in Bad Axe to the late Richard and Jeanette (Susalla) Goniwiecha. He and Nancy Siemen were united in marriage on April 27, 1968 at St. Anthony’s Church in Helena. Tom was a member of Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy name of Mary Parish. Tom worked at Searle, Nutrasweet and Dow Agrosciences for many years. He enjoyed reading, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
