Funeral Information

Services will be held on Wednesday December 2, 2015 at 11 am. at the Bad Axe First Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jay Barsaleau, pastor. Burial will be in Verona Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Tuesday from 4-8 pm. or Wednesday at the church from 10 am until the service time at 11 am. Randall (Gina) Taylor of Cheyenne, WY. 2 daughters-Kathryn (Richard) Hunter of Madison, AL. Janet (Wayne) Zurek of San Antonio, TX. 1 sister-Carol Minnes of Starke, FL. 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren. Good friend-Ivan G. Tomlinson of Filion, MI. Predeceased by: 1 brother-Ralph Wertz

Biography

Shirley Taylor, age 83, of Bad Axe, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 29, 2015. Shirley was born On May 5, 1932, in Detroit, daughter of the late Peter John and Gladys (Stickney) Wertz. She married Howard Stark Taylor on October 11, 1952 in Bad Axe. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2004. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was a lifetime member of the Bad Axe First Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with the Senior Saints, gardening, sewing, baking and canning.
