Services will be held on Saturday December 12, 2015 at 11 am. at the Bad Axe First Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jay Barsaleau, pastor. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 1-8 pm or Saturday at the church from 10 am. until the time of service at 11 am.

Daughter-Linda Jerome of Davison. 7 Grandchildren-Kevin (Bethany) Jerome, Flint. Bradley (Keri) Jerome, Swartz Creek. Jennifer (Jesse) Winkel, Richmond. Jessica (Joel) Bontrager, Middlebury, IN. Brendon Binder, Mitchell Binder, Nathan Binder, Saginaw. 7 Great-Grandchildren-Austin and Sean Jerome, Parker and Aleena Jerome, Joseph Winkel, Annabelle and Rosalynn Bontrager. Wanda was predeceased by: Her son-Daniel Binder. Son-in-law-Gerald Jerome Brothers-Doyle, Verl and Vaughn “Bud” Sparling. Sisters-Marilyn Engelmann , Doris Cummings.

Biography

Wanda Binder, age 85, of Bad Axe, passed away on Friday December 4, 2015, with her family by her side.. Wanda was born May 13, 1930 in Bad Axe, daughter of the late Roy and Nellie (Styles) Sparling. She married Carl Binder on July 31, 1948 at the First Baptist Church of Bad Axe. Wanda lived in the Bad Axe area all her life, graduating from Bad Axe High School. She was a housewife who also helped her husband on the farm. Wanda made her family a priority in her life and it showed through how much she adored everyone in it. One of her greatest joys was holding her grandchildren and her great grandchildren as newborns. Wanda spent many years serving her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, at the First Baptist Church of Bad Axe. During her service, she taught Sunday School, was a Deaconess and served on many other boards and committees. She touch many lives with her loving kindness and infectious laugh.
