A memorial service for George will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, December 15 at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly. Rev. Todd Arnberg of St. Isidore Parish in Parisville will officiate. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 12:30 pm until the service at 3:00 pm
George is survived by his mother, Louise Pionk of Ubly; one sister, Doreen Smith and her husband, Craig of Bad Axe; two brothers, Alfred Pionk and his wife, Pamela of Ubly, Lawrence “Larry” Pionk of Ubly; one sister-in-law, Darlene Pionk of Ubly; 10 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jerome “Jerry” Pionk.
Mr. George Pionk, 52 of Ubly, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 10, 2015. He was born on February 4, 1963 in Bad Axe to Louise (Klama) Pionk and the late Elmer Pionk. George attended Ubly High School. He was employed at Tower and Dave & Jeff Taylor Construction. George enjoyed hunting, Tiger baseball, playing the lottery and Keno.
