A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11 am. at Good Shepherd Parish-St. Columbkille Catholic Church at Sheridan Corners. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Tuesday from 2-8 pm. or Wednesday at the church from 10 am. until the service time at 11 am. A scripture service will be offered on Tuesday at 7:30 pm. at the funeral home.
Stanley is survived by: His wife-Dorothy Heleski of Sheridan Township. 3 Sons-Donald (Karen) Heleski of Sheridan Township. Leonard Heleski and special friend Michelle Zurek of Bad Axe. Nicholas (Alison) Heleski of Sheridan Township. 2 Daughters-Carolyn (Steven) Peruski of Ubly. Mary Sue (Erik) Klink of Fort Gratiot. 1 Brother-Clarence (Patricia) Heleski of Sheridan Township. 3 Sisters-Beatrice Pichla of Sheridan Township. Evelyn Peruski of Ubly. Lorene (Marvin) Messing of Ubly. 18 Grandchildren-Matthew (Nicole) Peruski, Nathan (Alexandria) Peruski, Tiffany Peruski and fiancé Jonathon Razo, Tricia Heleski, Shauna Heleski and fiancé Douglas Booms, Connie Heleski, Brent Heleski, Amanda Heleski and fiancé Dustin Demlow, Jamie Heleski, Madison Heleski, Samantha, Seth , Zoe and Silas Klink, Sophi , Sadi , Roman and Blakelyn Heleski. 4 Great-grandchildren-Ryley Smith, Kyhlie and Emelia Peruski and James France.
Stanley Heleski, age 85, of Sheridan Township, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Stanley was born November 15, 1930 in Ubly, son of the late Nick and Agnes (Glaza) Heleski. He married Dorothy Bugenski on November 5, 1960 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Port Austin. Stanley was a lifelong Sheridan Township farmer who also was a sales representative for a seed company. He was a member of the Ivanhoe Road Runners, Farm Bureau, Tip of the Thumb Dance Club and a Township trustee. He was a member of St. Columbkille Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, euchre, dancing, playing his accordian, making wine and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
