He is survived by his wife, Delores Baur Voelker Collison. They were married May 12, 2002 by Rev. James Gorsegner. Also surviving are his brother Dale and wife, Neila Collison of Pigeon, sister, Louanne Sattler of Bay City, MI; two nieces, Jill Behm and husband Rick, and Beth Sattler; one nephew Brian Collison; two great-nephews, Andrew and Matthew Behm; and aunts, Doris Brown and Dorothy Rummel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Irma Collison and brother-in-law, Gene M. Sattler.

Biography

Frederick Arthur Collison, 75 of Pigeon, MI, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 at Home Sweet Home Assisted Living. He was born September 17, 1941. He was baptized October 1941 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Berne, MI by Rev. A.W. Hueschen. He attended school at St. John’s and Pigeon School. He was confirmed at St. John’s on April 3, 1955. He was a life-long member of St. John’s. He served in many offices, was an usher, and choir member. Fred graduated from Pigeon High School in 1959. Fred served in the U. S. Army from February 1964 until February 1966. He worked at Pigeon Lumber Company from 1960 until 2003. He also worked at Meyersieck-Bussema Funeral Home, Pigeon. He enjoyed taking care of his many flowers.
