Funeral Mass for Anna will be Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. William Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation for Anna will be Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 2 pm til 8 pm, at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach, MI. Visitation on Wednesday will be at the church beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11:30 am. A Parish Vigil Service will take place Tuesday at 7 pm at the funeral home. She is survived by her children: Marvin Kociba and his wife Phyllis of Harbor Beach,MI; Dr. Richard Kociba and his wife Dorothy of Auburn,MI; Dr. Gary Kociba and his wife Betty of Lewis Center, OH; Ronald Kociba and his wife Linda of Harbor Beach,MI; Jeanette Ginther and her husband Paul of Harbor Beach,MI; Arlene Ramsey and her husband Warren of Harbor Beach,MI; Elaine Baur and her husband William of Flushing, MI; 24 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and 2 great great granddaughters; sister: Helen Wolschleger and her husband Albert of Harbor Beach, and sister-in-law: Verna Romzek of Ruth, MI. Anna was preceded in death by an infant son: Philip, granddaughter Sara Wood, and great grandchildren: Samuel Aymen and Alissa Lambert, and siblings: George, Lawrence, Louis, Leo, & Lucian Romzek, Gertrude Kolar, Julia O’Bee, and Agnes Pilot.
ANNA T. KOCIBA, age 100, of Harbor Beach, MI passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center of the Harbor Beach Hospital, with her family by her side. She was born on September 22, 1916 in Parisville, MI to the late Joseph and Teckla (Woycik) Romzek. Anna and Peter Kociba were united in marriage on January 28, 1933 in St. Mary’s Church of Parisville. He preceded her in death on November 15, 1983. Anna worked on the family farm, and was employed at Sandmann Grocery in Harbor Beach for many years. Anna was a member of the Our Lady of Lake Huron Catholic Church, a member of the Altar Society, and Farm Bureau. She enjoyed baking bread, cooking (on high), flowers, gardening, nature, and being outside. She especially enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren.
