Funeral Information

Per Michael’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be at 12 noon on Saturday, November 19th at the United Protestant Church in Port Austin.   Pastor Nancy Bitterling will officiate with James DePatty assisting.   A pot luck lunch will take place at the church hall following the service.  A private burial will take place at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly at a later date.    Memorials may be offered to the United Protestant Church in Port Austin to help cover funeral expenses.    Condolences can be shared at www.macalpinefuneralhome.com 

Family of the Deceased

Mike is survived by his wife Angela and his son, Michael “Mikey” Rosen Jr.; his step-son Corey Campbell; his brother, Lee (Tina) Rosen of Macomb Township; his sister, Pam (George) Fisher of Bloomfield Hills; his nieces and nephews: Steven, Jennifer and Melissa. Other adoptive family members include: James (Rachel) DePatty, their son, Brandt, and daughter Addison, of Kinde, Michael (Kimberly) DePatty and their daughter, Hazel, of Bad Axe, Melissa (Jason) Stirrett –Guza and their children, Logan, Hannah and Aiden of Potterville and Robert (Janet) DePatty of Kinde. 

Biography

Michael B. Rosen, 62, of Kinde, passed away on November 12, 2016 at McLaren Flint Hospital after a short illness.    Michael was born in Detroit to the late Arthur and Francis (Davis) Rosen on April 27, 1954.    He was in the U.S. Army from March 1973 to March 1976.      On October 31, 2008 he married Angela Caruana.
