Funeral Information

Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 19 at Good Shepherd Parish, St. John Catholic Church in Ubly. Rev. Charles Hammond, pastor will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Zinger-Smigielski Funeral Home in Ubly on Friday from 1:00-9:00 pm and Saturday at St. John Church from 10:00-11:00 am. There will be a Christian Mothers rosary Friday afternoon at 4:00 pm and a parish vigil service at 7:00 pm. Both services will be at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Lance Sample and Tony Johnson; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, August and Mary Kubacki; 2 sisters, Ann Vogel and Lucille Kolar; 4 brothers, Bill, Anthony, Charles and Lawrence Vogel; sisters-in-law, Kate Vogel, Ruth Vogel, Christina Eilers, Rose Smith and Delphine Kubacki; brothers-in-law, Ralph Osborne, Felix Kubacki, August Kubacki, Felix Polega, George Smith, Alvin Eilers and Donald Krawaczyk.

Biography

Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” A. Kubacki, 76 of Ubly, passed away Sunday November 13, 2016 at her residence while under hospice care after a short battle with cancer. She was born on January 23, 1940 in Minden City to the late Adolph and Adella (Messing) Vogel. She married Eugene F. Kubacki on May 6, 1961 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ruth. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2011 after 50 years of marriage. Betty was a graduate of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School in Ruth. She worked for the late Dr. E.C. Holdship for over 25 years before she retired. She was a parishioner of Good Shepherd Parish, St. John Catholic Church in Ubly where she was a member of the Christian Mothers. Betty enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. Her talents were appreciated by her family and many others. Betty cherished spending time with family and friends.
