Visitation will be Monday, November 28, 2016, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing, from 2-8pm. The funeral service will be Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Christ the King Lutheran School, Immanuel Lutheran Church or USA-FFA Alumni. Arrangements handled by Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Larry is survived by his wife, MaryLou; children: Scott Adam, Mark Adam, Brian (Tina) Adam all of Sebewaing, and Lynette (the late Bill Kauffold) Kauffold of Unionville; 7 grandchildren: Emma Kauffold, Garrett Adam, Wyatt Kauffold, Maddie Adam, Lauren Adam, Jake Adam and Ruby Kauffold; siblings: Marilyn (Carl) Seibel, Mary (Kurt) Kelly, and the late Lloyd (survived by Evelyn) Adam.

Biography

Larry R. Adam, age 72, of Sebewaing, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016, at the Bay County Medical Care Facility in Essexville. Larry was born in Pigeon on May 4, 1944, to Harold and Oradell (Voss) Adam. He married MaryLou Schweitzer on August 24, 1963, at the Kilmanagh United Methodist Church. Larry’s true passion was farming and spending time with his family. He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing and was active with many board positions. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau. He was known to many as “Captain Cobble” and enjoyed telling stories. He was a tinkerer and liked restoring tractors.
