Funeral Information

On December 13, 2017 a mass of Christian burial was said at the St. Benedict Catholic Church in Shawnee, OK. Visitation will take place at St Hubert/Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe on Saturday, January 27, 2018 beginning at 10am. A memorial mass will be at 11am with Father Robert Howe officiating. Denise will be buried with other family members in the Most Holy Trinity Cemetery of Ubly at a later date.

Denise survived by her children Craig (Carrie) Hunt of Wellston, OK, Ladonna Hunt of Shawnee, OK, Shannon (Tim) Davis of Duncan, OK, Bren (Tana Caldwell)Hunt of Jones, OK: grandchildren Brandon Davis, MaKayla Hunt, and Zoeigh Hunt: mother Iva McGeachy Tschirhart of Ubly; siblings Rodney (Veronica) Tschirhart of St. Clair Shores, Talisa Powers (Gary Slavick)of Bad Axe, Colleen Tschirhart (Scott Saliard) of Bad Axe, Gerald (Connie) Tschirhart of Ubly, and Duane Tschirhart of Bad Axe; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Marvin Tschirhart, grandson Denium Lee Hunt, and the father of her children Jerry Hunt.

Biography

Denise Marie Tschirhart Hunt, age 65, earned her angel wings on December 7, 2017 in Oklahoma after a short illness. Denise was born on January 23, 1952 in Bad Axe or Marvin and Iva McGeachy Tschirhart of Ubly. Denise graduated from Ubly High School in 1970 then attended Saginaw Business School. She worked at Hamill Manufacturing of Ubly and Kmart of Bad Axe. Denise resided in Shawnee OK where she was an active member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and worked at Kmart and Lowe's. She loved spending time with her family especially her children, grandchildren, church family, and friends. Denise enjoyed her garden, old movies, Elvis and horses.
