Funeral Information

Funeral service for Michelle will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the MacAlpine Gage Chapel in Kinde with Rev. Jerry Sutton officiating. Burial will follow at New River Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the MacAlpine Gage Chapel in Kinde and on Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until time of service. Family of the Deceased

Michelle is survived by her step-sons: Dean (Maureen) Kirkpatrick of Shelby Township, Ron (Andrea) Kirkpatrick of Kinde, and Brad (Amy) Kirkpatrick of Traverse City; her step-daughters: Lisa (Craig) Iden of Kinde and Rebecca Waling of Texas; step grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Michael (Rosemarie) Hoyt of Sellersville, Pennsylvania and Robert F. (Alysia) Hoyt of London, England; her sister, Lisa Hoyt-Laurence (husband, Francis) of Londonderry, New Hampshire and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Carrie Lewis of Heartland Hospice for her extraordinary care.

Biography

Michelle A. Kirkpatrick, 61, of Dwight Township, passed away on October 14, 2018 under hospice care at Meadow Lane Assisted Living in Bad Axe. Michelle was born on October 9, 1957 to the late Robert Hoyt and Joan (Farrell) Hoyt-Gallucci. She worked various jobs during her life. Michelle was a member of the Bad Axe Free Methodist Church and volunteered there. She loved animals of all kinds, especially her dog Daisy. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. On June 12, 1999, she married Elwood C. Kirkpatrick. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2016.
