Funeral Information

A Funeral Mass will take place Monday, October 29, 2018 at 11 am, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, of the Holy Apostles Parish of Ruth, with Fr. Christopher Coman officiating. Cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory of Bay City. Friends may gather at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach, from 2-8pm Sunday, October 28, 2018 and on Monday, friends may gather at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. Memorials can be given to the Harbor Beach Hospital Foundation. Memories can be shared at www.RamseyFH.com

Jeanie is survived by her children: Tammy (Scott) Messing of Ruth, Shelly (Michael) Stotler of Fresco, TX, her mother: Helen “Elaine” Maurer of Ruth, 5 grandchildren: Anna, Cole and Wade Messing, Davis and Jacob Stotler, and her siblings: Larry (Patt) Maurer of Bad Axe, Linda (Dennis) Schumacher of Ruth, Rick (Beth) Maurer of Ruth, Joyce (Randy) Susalla of Parisville, a close friend Mark Piotter of Kinde, and a God Child, Angela Schumacher.

Biography

JEANIE M. FERRIBY, age 64 of Ruth, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at her home in Ruth. She was born on December 6, 1953 in Bad Axe to Helen “Elaine” (Gwisdalla) Maurer, and the late Lester Maurer. Jeanie worked for the Harbor Beach Community Hospital and at Lakeview Extended Care and Rehab Center, handling all of their marketing and fundraisers. She was a vital part of the Harbor Beach Hospital Foundation, and took pride in all her work. Jean is a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Ruth, the Mustard Seeds, a board member of the Huron County Community Foundation, a leader for the Country Corners 4H Club and the Harbor Beach Hospital Foundation. She enjoyed drinking wine, shopping, traveling to Texas to see family, dancing, playing cards, entertaining a crowd, and especially spending time with family and grandchildren.
