Funeral service for Beverly will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe with Rev. Kenneth Lueke officiating. Per her wishes, cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the MacAlpine Mac Chapel and on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. A special thanks to Compassus Hospice of Cass City for the love and compassion given to Beverly. Beverly is survived by her husband, Fred Vandervennet of Bad Axe; her sons, Jeffrey (Karen) Parks of Milford and James Parks (special friend, Suzanne) of Waterford; her brother, Ronald (Randie) Clark of Bad Axe; and her sisters, LaDonna (Merlin) Little of Rogers City and Judith (Robert) Pray of Lake St. Helen. She is also survived by her step sons, Frederick (Tina) Vandervennet and Brian Vandervennet; step daughter, Linda Vandervennet (fiancé Bruce); 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Beverly Jean Vandervennet, 75, of Bad Axe, passed away on November 19, 2018 at Scheurer Hospital under hospice care. Beverly was born in Bad Axe, Michigan to the late Arthur W. and Phyllis (Liedke) Clark on September 27, 1943. On August 20, 1988, she married Frederick J. Vandervennet at the Bad Axe United Methodist Church. Beverly was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bad Axe, where she also enjoyed singing in the choir. She was the secretary and bookkeeper at Huron Medical Care Facility for 23 years; worked for the City of Wayne for 13 years, where she was the Employee of the Year for the last 4 years before retiring in 2002; and was the secretary for MacAlpine Funeral Home for 10 years, retiring in 2013; where she is greatly missed. In her spare time, she enjoyed working outside on her flowers and spending time with her family and friends.
