Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 31, 2019 at 11 am. at St Hubert Parish-Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Officiating will be Fr. Rob Howe, pastor. Friends may call at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 1-8pm or Monday at the church from 10 am. until the service time at 11 am. A combined rosary will be offered on Sunday at 6:30 pm. at the funeral home by the Knights of Columbus and Daughters of Isabella. Larry is survived by his wife Marie Ritter of Bad Axe, two sons: Duane Ritter of Oak Park, Karl (Renee) Ritter of Clinton Township, one daughter Barbara Ritter of Bad Axe, 6 grandchildren: Trista (Joshua) Smith of Bad Axe, Kyle Clement of Clinton Township, Paige Clement of Clinton Township, Dylan Clement of Toledo, OH, Nevaeh Ritter of Bad Axe, Brady Ritter of Clinton Township, 4 great grandchildren: Anikah Smith of Bad Axe, Kalli Clement of Clinton Township, Kalvin Clement of Clinton Township, Bennett Smith of Bad Axe, one brother James (Margaret) Ritter of Bad Axe, one sister Sandra Iseler of Bad Axe and his God Children: Lynette Ciejka, Susan Henson, Debra Branski, Brenda Rutkowski, Trista Smith, and Daniel Rutkowski. He was preceded by a daughter Laura (Ritter) Diab Agha, grandsons: Arthur William Thorp II, Max Howard Ritter, brother Ronnie Ritter, and sister Susan Ritter.

Biography

Larry H. Ritter, age 78, of Bad Axe, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Bay McLaren Hospital in Bay City surrounded by his family. He was born on July 29, 1940 in Bad Axe, son of the late Howard & Erna (Engler) Ritter. He married Marie Wasielewski on June 29, 1963. He worked 42 years at Active Industries. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, woodworking and was a member of the Knights of Columbus since December 6, 1981.
