Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cass City. Visitation will be from 2pm-8pm. The funeral service will be Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cass City. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Burial will be at 3pm at Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Pigeon. Memorial donations may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the DAV (Disabled American Veterans). Selma is survived by her children: Ludwig Schulz, Ted Schulz, Karoline Collins, Johann (Traci) Schulz, Eta (Douglas) Jorde, Werner Schulz, Tiana (Charles) Holmberg and Selma Schulz; 2 brothers: Gerald and Robert Deeg; sister, Shirley Leiterman; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Selma is preceded in death by 2 infant sons, 1 infant daughter, and siblings: Harold Deeg, Walt Deeg, Donald Deeg, Elsa Volz and Marjorie Fifield.

Biography

Selma Alice Schulz, age 85, of Deckerville, passed away at her home on December 30, 2018. Selma was born July 3, 1933, in Bach, Michigan, to Paul and Laura (Schulz) Deeg. After graduating High School, she worked in home healthcare for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Werner Schulz, Sr. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cass City, where she served on the Alter Guild and was a past choir member. Selma was an avid gardener, enjoyed taking care of poultry, and liked quilting and sewing.
