Darel â€Dar†Dumaw, age 73, of Elkton, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 3, 2019. Dar was born on August 26, 1946 in Bad Axe, son of the late Arthur and Grace (Sawyer) Dumaw. He married Linda Henne on April 18, 1970 at Pinnebog Methodist Church. Dar served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1966 until 1968. He was a bus driver for Laker School District. He dearly loved getting to know the children on his route. He attended Bad Axe Free Methodist Church and was devoted to his faith. Dar was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Dar spent his time with a focus on family, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, showing animals and attending FFA events. He spent every day bringing his “team†together. A strong love of Dar’s was owning and showing horses, which always involved his family and friends. Dar leaves behind eleven Haflinger horses, which he enjoyed showing at fairs all over Michigan. He will also be missed by his dog, Nicky, who was always in his truck as co-pilot wherever he would go. Dar had a kind heart and enjoyed helping anyone in need. He will stay in our hearts forever.
