Funeral service will be Wednesday November 27th, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Port Hope, at 11:00 with Rev. David Dodge officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-8 PM, at the MacAlpine Gage chapel of Kinde, with a prayer service at 7PM. Visitation will also be at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Amy is survived by her sons, Dale (Diane) Reinke of Sandusky, John and (Diane) Reinke of Bitely, Larry (Linda) Reinke of Port Austin, Don Reinke (special friend Angie) of Moorpark CA; and her daughters Kathy (Ray) Young of Sterling Heights, Laura (Ron ) Clancy, Linda Williams, Ruth Richardson , Joanne (George) Pettit ,and Donna (Leonard ) Horetski, all of Port Austin, and Lisa (Scott) Dittrich of Akron, Ohio. She is survived by one sister, Esther Jane Woolford of Filion, and sister in law Ruth of Flint. She was also preceded in death by her special friend, Walter Pleiness. She is survived by 50 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Amy was preceded in death by her brothers Ken Iseler, Dave Iseler, and her sister Betty Engel.
Amy Laura Reinke, 95 years old, passed away peacefully at Courtney Manor on November 23, 2019. Amy was born on January 12, 1924 to the late Walter and Eveline Iseler. Amy married Walter Reinke on October 2, 1943. He preceded her in death on September 30, 1998. They had celebrated 54 years of married life together. Amy was a member of St. Johns’ Lutheran Church of Port Hope. She was a Rosie the Riveter, a member of the Port Hope Retirees, past President and Secretary of the American Legion Auxiliary of Port Austin, and a member of the Grindstone Port Hope Sportsmen club. Amy enjoyed playing euchre, dancing, crocheting , sewing, quilting, fishing, cooking and gardening. She enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
