Franklin is survived by his 3 children: Deborah (Larry) Quick, Jim (Carol) Koch and Karen (Rick) Heck; grandchildren: Jennifer (Ken) Lasceski, Kelsey (Brian) Loeffler, Brad (Lisa) Koch, Beth (Nate) Irish, Chad (Hannah) Koch, Chris Koch, Sammy (Sean) Clark, Miranda (Adam) Benfer and Melissa Heck; 5 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Hilda Koch. Franklin is preceded in death by his wife, Betty; parents, Herman and Erma Koch; brothers: Nelson (Selma) Koch and Harold Koch; and son-in-law, Willie Czewski.
Franklin Harold Koch, age 83, of Gagetown, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019, at Meadow Lane Assisted Living in Bad Axe. Franklin was born June 6, 1936, in Gagetown, to Herman and Erma (Sting) Koch. He married Betty Jane Pobanz on June 20, 1958, at Owendale E.U.B. Franklin enjoyed restoring and showing his antique tractors in parades, the Octagon Barn and many tractor shows, showing his 1934 Ford truck, liked farming, deer hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, and crop checking. He was on the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery board for many years.
